[From article]
Vargas had six suspensions of his driver's license before the age of 21 and had been drinking before the accident.
[. . .]
Prior to sentencing, Superior Court Judge Max A. Baker, said that in the four years Vargas had been driving prior to the crash, he had been directly or indirectly ordered not to drive on 24 occasions.

Here's one more gentleman taking time from his busy schedule volunteering to test his reaction time while driving after enjoying adult beverages. He courageously defied state courts and bureaucracies to continue his contributions to science after he was banned from driving. He exhibited determination to serve mankind. No one was watching this dedicated servant. No police, no crime family, no Communists. No Harvard University campus cops. But in libertarian Cambridge MA, the city of tolerance, local police, crime families, Communists from Massachusetts and Georgia, Harvard University building superintendents, graduate students in psychology from Harvard Medical School, Harvard University campus cops, take turns harassing, interfering with computer transmissions, conducting 24/7 surveillance, ridiculing, humiliating, testing, provoking, insulting and disturbing the sleep of a 70-year-old white male who they all say has a disability. This indicates the misguided public safety priorities in Massachusetts, where education dominates the economy, and Harvard University dominates education. Harvard University graduates staff local, federal and state agencies to assist elite Harvard University policy implementation, to enable preying on vulnerable persons.
