Benjamin Shealey, 32, of Providence, RI, is guarded by a police officer after being cuffed following a fatal motor vehicle crash on Route 28 near the Kreme and Kone in Chatham on Saturday, July 13, 2013. [He reportedly lives on Trowbridge Place in Cambridge. Ed]

Adding to the philanthropy of Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, their friends and supporters, Cambridge people keep contributing to the public good. John Martorano, a Cambridge native admitted 20 homicides for James Bulger's FBI-protected crime family. Martorano served 12 years for 20 homicides (about 7 months per homicide). He received $20,000 in taxpayer money from the DEA when he was released from prison to help him restart his life. An entertainment corporation gave him $250,000 for the film rights to his story, with another $250,000 promised if the film is made. Martorano earned $80,000 from his partnership with radio talk show host and Boston Herald columnist, Howie Carr, who published a book about Martorano. Add to those chosen few this charming young man who is charged with fleeing from police and killing an elder pedestrian while driving impaired in nearby Chatham.  Four other persons were injured and seven vehicles were damaged. How many more dedicated people will take time from their busy lives to make such enormous contributions to the wealth of the community while Cambridge officials boast of its tolerance and superior morality?
